What is an eyelash lift?
Just like a perm for your hair gives you long-lasting curls, a lash lift (also called an eyelash perm) uses a chemical solution to keep your eyelashes curled for an extended time. A lash lift can eliminate the need for eyelash curlers or false eyelashes and can be tailored to suit your personal style.
What are the benefits of a lash lift?
In addition to giving you a break from curling wands, a lash lift at Purelee Redefined offers the following benefits:
- Customizable curl depth
- Lasts up to two months
- Makeup friendly
- Natural appearance
Unlike eyelash extensions, which can be damaged during everyday activities like washing your face or sleeping, your lash lift is low maintenance and doesn’t require any special products or attention.
What happens during my lash lift procedure?
Your skilled aesthetics provider at Purelee Redefined begins by cleansing and separating your lashes. Then your provider places a silicone shield on your eyelids, applies an adhesive, and combs your lashes up, attaching them to the shield.
Next, your specialist carefully applies the chemical solution and leaves it on your lashes for 6-12 minutes. After removing the eyelash perming solution, your specialist applies a setting solution, followed by a conditioner.
It takes about an hour to complete all the steps in the lash lift process, and you’ll need to refrain from getting your lashes wet and wearing any kind of eye makeup for 24 hours after your appointment. When your treatment is done, your lashes will be curled, and your eyes will look more open with extra definition and sparkle.
An eyelash tint consists of adding a special dye to your eyelashes, giving you weeks of dark, full lashes without the assistance of mascara. Licensed Aesthetician applies the dye to your lashes while you keep your eyes closed for about 10 minutes. It’s a quick, relatively painless process.
Is a lash lift safe?
When performed by the trained and experienced providers at PureLee Redefined, eyelash lifts are quite safe. There is some risk of skin or eye irritation or infection, but these side effects aren’t common. Eye injury and other serious side effects are possible but extremely rare.
You may not be a good candidate for a lash lift if you currently have an eye infection or stye, or very dry eyes.
