What is RHA collection of fillers?
The Revance RHA® Collection of fillers was developed in 2003 by a Swiss company, TEOXANE, and Madame Valerie Taupin (the co-creator of Juvéderm fillers). They are the first FDA-approved fillers to treat dynamic lines and wrinkles.
The RHA collection in Colorado Springs features 4 different specialized formulas to treat specific areas of the face:
- RHA 2 is ideal for lip augmentation and treating moderate to severe lines and wrinkles including crow’s feet, smile lines (radial cheek lines), frown lines, and creases around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds) for a soft, natural appearance.
- RHA 3 is a more robust filler designed for moderate to severe creases and wrinkles in nasolabial folds and the corners of the mouth (oral commissures) for a noticeable but refined smoothing effect.
- RHA 4 is best for restoring volume in the deepest folds and lines through the lower face and jawline. This formula can also be used to create a volumized, lifted cheekbone contour without obvious ridges.
- RHA Redensity features a thinner formulation and is designed to fill in highly-dynamic lines and wrinkles and wrinkles around the mouth while adding subtle volume without the heavy appearance thicker formulas may create in this area. It is the first FDA-approved filler to treat perioral wrinkles (dynamic lines and wrinkles around the lips and mouth).

What makes RHA fillers different from other dermal fillers?
Other dermal fillers, such as the Juvéderm® and Restylane® family of fillers, are made from a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance which also naturally occurs in the body. The latest in dermal filler products in Colorado Springs features a “cleaner” form of HA fillers called Resilient Hyaluronic Acid, or RHA, which is manufactured with fewer chemical modifications. RHA fillers contains lidocaine (a numbing agent) to minimize discomfort; we also apply a topical numbing cream to the skin in the treatment area to enhance your comfort at PureLee Redefined medical spa in Colorado.
During treatment
Kenya Lee, MD or Marvin Lee, MD will precisely inject the appropriate RHA injectable beneath the skin to fill in any line or wrinkle within the treatment area and restore natural, youthful-looking volume to your face. RHA filler treatment takes between 15-60 minutes depending on your cosmetic goals.
After treatment
After RHA filler injections, you are free to resume most normal activities—however, you may prefer some social downtime until mild, temporary side effects have resolved; your timeframe will depend on the level of treatment, so talk to us about what you can expect. For the next 24 hours, we’ll ask you to avoid touching your face and to postpone strenuous exercise; these precautions will minimize the risk of the product migrating outside of the treatment area.
Side effects of RHA filler injections
Some mild side effects may occur after injections such as redness or swelling within the treatment area. You may also see some bruising on the skin around the injection site which typically subsides within a few days. More severe side effects are possible, but extremely rare.
