Types of Neuromodulator Products
Botox®, Dysport®, Jeuveau®, and Xeomin® are all neuromodulators that use botulinum toxin to temporarily block wrinkle-causing muscle contractions, resulting in smoother skin and a more rejuvenated look.
At PureLee Redefined, we offer Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau injections. Depending on the severity of your lines, our experienced cosmetic providers will determine which injectable is right for you during your visit.
Is Botox safe?
Absolutely! Botox Cosmetic has been FDA-approved since 1989 and is considered to be extremely safe when administered by a qualified injector.
Occasionally, some patients experience side effects immediately following their treatment, such as skin irritation at the injection site, neck pain, headaches, or eye problems; however, these tend to be mild and resolve on their own. More serious side effects are possible but rarely occur.
Is Botox right for me?
You may be a good candidate for a Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau treatment if you:
- Have facial wrinkles and creases that have been caused by repetitive facial expressions (dynamic wrinkles)
- Have aesthetic concerns, particularly with the brow and area around the eyes
- Are an adult in overall good health
- Are not pregnant or nursing
- Prefer a non-surgical method of facial rejuvenation
Why should I consider anti-wrinkle Treatments?
Learn how incorporating Botox into your regular beauty routine can help you look younger for years to come – without invasive surgery. Many of our patients love to combine Botox injections with dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Juvéderm®, Versa®, and Belotero® for additional lift and volume. Skin resurfacing and skin tightening treatments can also fine-tune your skin’s overall texture and tone to complete your look.
This patient came to us with volume loss in the mid-face that made her feel she looked old or “sallow.” We used a neuromodulator to relax her forehead muscles, rebuilt mid-face volume, and restored youthful proportions with dermal filler in her cheeks and lips. To improve her skin texture and brightness, we performed dermaplaning with a VI Peel (Purify Precision). Finally, we prescribed a medical-grade skincare regimen to promote healthy cell turnover for a youthful glow, as well as to hydrate and protect her skin from sun damage daily.
Will it be obvious that I’ve had treatments?
Our team is medically-trained and experienced, so you won’t need to worry about your Botox treatment giving your face a “frozen” look.
If you have more questions about Botox or Botox-type injections, the team at PureLee Redefined med spa in Colorado would be happy to discuss your treatment options and how Botox injections can best help your skin look smoother and more youthful during a personal consultation.
About your Procedure
Botox injections typically take 10 minutes or less to perform, depending on your area(s) of concern. When expertly administering your treatment, our medical injectors use an extra-fine needle to deliver Botox injections, reducing the risk of any discomfort or bruising.
Are the treatments painful?
You may feel a slight pinch, but most people find this to be quite tolerable. If you are worried about experiencing pain during your cosmetic procedure or have sensitive skin, you can request that we apply a topical numbing gel to the treatment areas before beginning the treatment.
You should see initial results within 24-48 hours of your procedure, with your results improving over the following 2 weeks. Botox results typically last up to 4 months in most cases.
How long is recovery?
You’ll be able to return to your normal activities immediately, making Botox injections the perfect lunchtime treatment.
