Honorable Mention: Mountain Side Skate Shop in Manitou Springs has an unexpected surprise outside on one of its walls: a beautiful mural of a cherry blossom tree, ravens, and the lyrics from “Angel from Montgomery,” a well-known folk song. Even more fascinating is that the mural was painted as part of a class project by at-risk teens from the Emily Griffith Center, in collaboration with the Bemis School of Art.

Helen Hunt Falls is a captivating waterfall providing a beautiful and serene spot for photography and nature enthusiasts. Located in nearby North Cheyenne Cañon Park, it features a 35-foot cascade surrounded by lush greenery and rocks that are perfect for posing. The base of the falls can be accessed just a few steps from the Visitor Center which sells snacks and gifts. Make an afternoon of it!
